Terms and Conditions – House Jane

Article 1 – Definitions

In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:

• Consumer: a natural person not acting for purposes related to their trade, business, craft or profession.
• Entrepreneur: House Jane, the seller of products through this webshop.
• Distance contract: a contract concluded within a system organized by the entrepreneur for distance sales, using exclusively electronic means.
• Right of withdrawal: the consumer’s right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
• Durable medium: any means that allows the consumer or entrepreneur to store information for future reference (such as email or PDF).

Article 3 – Applicability

These terms and conditions apply to every offer by House Jane and to any distance contract concluded between House Jane and the consumer. By placing an order, the consumer unconditionally accepts these terms. The terms are made available electronically on the website and can be sent free of charge upon request.

Article 4 – The offer

Products are described as accurately as possible. Images are indicative and non-binding. Obvious mistakes or errors in the offer do not bind House Jane. Offers are valid while supplies last.

Article 5 – The contract

The contract is concluded when the consumer accepts the offer and meets the stipulated conditions. House Jane confirms the acceptance electronically. For online orders, House Jane ensures a secure connection and payment environment.

Article 6 – Right of withdrawal

The consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days after receiving the product. During this period, the consumer shall handle the product and packaging with care. The right of withdrawal must be exercised by notifying us via email.

Article 7 – Effects of withdrawal

Upon valid withdrawal, the consumer will receive a refund within 14 days, including standard delivery costs. The refund will be made via the same payment method used by the consumer. Return shipping costs are at the consumer's expense.

Article 8 – Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to products:

• that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons;
• that are custom-made at the consumer’s request;
• that are irrevocably mixed with other products after delivery.

Article 9 – Prices

All prices are in euros and include VAT. Shipping costs are shown separately during checkout. Prices may change at any time but do not apply retroactively.

Article 10 – Delivery

House Jane delivers in Belgium and other EU countries as indicated at checkout. Deliveries are usually made within the timeframe stated on the product page. If delivery is delayed, the customer will be informed in time.

Article 11 – Payment

The consumer must pay using the online payment methods offered in the webshop. House Jane reserves the right to cancel the order in case of late payment.

Article 12 – Warranty and conformity

House Jane guarantees that products conform to the agreement and meet normal quality and usability expectations. Complaints are taken seriously and handled promptly.

Article 13 – Complaints procedure

Complaints can be sent by email to [email protected]. We aim to respond within 14 days. If no solution is reached, the consumer may appeal to an independent mediation service or the EU’s ODR platform.

Article 14 – Liability

House Jane is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Liability for direct damages is limited to the order amount, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Article 15 – Disputes and applicable law

All agreements are subject exclusively to Belgian law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district of House Jane’s registered office, unless mandatory law dictates otherwise.
